Choosing a service
Which clean is right for me?
What’s the difference between a Standard Domestic Clean and Deep Cleaning?
A Standard Domestic Clean is for regular upkeep; Deep Cleaning gives more time to built-up grime and detailed areas. A standard clean covers agreed accessible surfaces, kitchens, bathrooms, floors, mirrors and bins. A deep clean includes that foundation plus agreed tasks such as bathroom descaling, kitchen degreasing, skirting boards, doors, frames, reachable internal windows and cleaning behind accessible furniture. Choose a standard clean for ongoing maintenance, or a deep clean when your home needs a more thorough reset. Oven interiors, carpet treatment and specialist work need separate agreement. Compare domestic cleaning or see our deep-cleaning checklist.
What does a deep clean include?
A deep clean includes standard cleaning tasks plus agreed detailed cleaning of built-up grime and overlooked areas. Typical tasks include bathroom descaling, grout and limescale scrubbing, kitchen degreasing, skirting boards, doors and frames, reachable internal windows, switches and handles, and vacuuming edges and accessible areas behind furniture. We agree priorities and surface-safe methods before the visit. Appliance interiors, carpet treatment, specialist restoration, hazardous work and inaccessible areas are not automatically included. See the full deep-cleaning checklist.
What does the Declutter and Cleaning include?
We help you sort and organise belongings at a manageable, respectful pace, following your decisions about what to keep, move or let go. Once agreed areas are accessible, we move on to a deeper clean. The service is suitable for customers who feel overwhelmed, are short on time, need a reset or require non-judgmental practical support. We also work with charities supporting vulnerable people who need one-off reset cleans.
What is included in End of Tenancy Cleaning?
We agree a detailed move-out scope based on the property, condition and handover requirements. This may include detailed kitchens and bathrooms, accessible surfaces, floors, internal windows and agreed appliance or cupboard interiors. Your written quote confirms exactly what is included.
What commercial premises can HomeGlow clean?
We assess offices, retail premises, hospitality venues, event spaces, communal areas, education and childcare settings, non-clinical areas of suitable healthcare premises, studios, warehouses and other appropriate sites. The scope is tailored around floor space, occupancy, operating hours, access, frequency and the areas requiring attention.
Move-in cleaning
A fresh start in your new home
What does Move-In Cleaning include?
Move-in cleaning prepares the agreed areas of your new home before you settle in. It includes detailed kitchen and bathroom cleaning, reachable surfaces, skirting boards, doors and frames, switches and handles, vacuuming and suitable floor cleaning. Reachable internal glass and empty cupboard or appliance interiors are included where agreed in your written quote. We finish with a check against your priorities. Explore our move-in cleaning service.
How is Move-In Cleaning different from End-of-Tenancy Cleaning?
Move-in cleaning focuses on the incoming resident’s priorities before unpacking. End-of-tenancy cleaning prepares a departing tenant’s property for handover. Many tasks overlap, but the timing, checklist and person arranging the clean differ. Tell us which stage of the move you are at so we can recommend the right scope.
When should I book a move-in clean, and does the property need to be empty?
Ideally, arrange the clean after the previous occupants have left and before furniture and boxes arrive. An empty property gives us access to more surfaces. We can also assess furnished homes and agree a clean around accessible areas. Please confirm key collection, running water, electricity and your moving date before the appointment.
Are ovens, fridges, cupboards and carpets included in a move-in clean?
These are agreed individually rather than automatically included. Let us know which empty cupboard and appliance interiors need cleaning. Carpet or upholstery treatment and specialist work are assessed separately. Your written quote confirms the inclusions and any extras.
How much does Move-In Cleaning cost?
Move-in and end-of-tenancy cleaning start from £130 for a studio, £180 for a one-bedroom property, £250 for a two-bedroom property and £250 for a three-bedroom property. These are indicative starting rates. We confirm a tailored quote based on property size, condition, photographs, access and the agreed checklist. Select Get a Quote and choose Move-In Cleaning in the enquiry form. We reply within one business day and confirm the price before you commit.
Post-construction cleaning
The final clean before handover
What does Post-Construction Cleaning cover?
Post-construction cleaning removes settled construction dust and agreed light residues after building, renovation or decorating work. We clean reachable surfaces, skirting boards, doors, frames, ledges and fittings, detailed kitchen and bathroom areas, touchpoints and suitable floors. Reachable internal glass, sills and frames are included where agreed. We finish with a presentation check against your handover checklist. Explore our post-construction cleaning service.
When should a post-construction clean take place?
Book once the building work is finished, trades have left and rubble, tools and building waste have been removed. We need safe access and working water and electricity. Tell us about recently painted or installed surfaces, curing times and care instructions so we can plan suitable cleaning methods.
Can you remove paint splashes, adhesive, cement or grout residue?
These residues need individual assessment. Send clear photographs and details of the affected surfaces. Removal is included only when reviewed, suitable for the finish and confirmed in writing. We do not promise that every mark can be removed without affecting the surface; specialist restoration may need a separate provider.
Does post-construction cleaning include rubble removal, high windows or hazardous materials?
No. Building waste removal, hazardous dust or materials, specialist restoration and high-level external access are not automatically included. Tell us about these requirements before booking so we can confirm what falls within our cleaning scope and what needs separate arrangements.
Can you clean a renovated commercial property before handover?
Yes. We assess suitable residential and commercial properties after works. Share the premises type, approximate floor area, photographs, surface finishes, access and intended handover date. We agree the cleaning specification and final presentation requirements with you. A clean prepares the agreed areas for use from a cleaning perspective; it does not replace snagging, repairs or statutory sign-off.
How much does Post-Construction Cleaning cost, and can you return if dust settles again?
Pricing depends on floor area, dust and residue levels, finishes, access, equipment and the agreed checklist. A site assessment may be needed. Choose Post-Construction Cleaning in our enquiry form and send current photographs. If work continues or dust resettles after the visit, we can discuss a separately quoted return clean; it is not automatically included in the original price.
Prices, quotes and booking
From enquiry to confirmation
How do I request a domestic clean online?
Select Request a domestic clean on our domestic-cleaning page to open the full enquiry form. Share your contact details, postcode, service requirements, preferred date and requested photos. We review the enquiry and confirm availability, scope and the final price before an appointment is agreed. The form sends a request; it does not instantly reserve a cleaner or take payment.
How much does domestic cleaning cost?
Standard domestic cleaning starts from £25 per hour. Three hours is the minimum recommended time for a standard domestic clean, which is £75 at the starting hourly rate before any agreed extras. This is a guide, not a fixed quote for every property. Condition, size, priorities, access and extras affect the final scope and price. If we bring general cleaning products, the current additional charge is £10; equipment arrangements are agreed separately. We confirm your price before you commit.
How many cleaning hours should I choose?
Three hours is the recommended starting point, particularly for a first visit or a home with more than one room or bathroom. Choose enough time for your main priorities. If the requested time is unlikely to cover everything, we will explain what can reasonably be completed or recommend a different duration before confirming.
Does “Get a Quote” or “Request a domestic clean” confirm my appointment?
No. Both buttons open our enquiry form. On the homepage, you can first select your property and service details, then continue to the full Fillout enquiry. Include the information and photos requested so we can assess your needs. We reply within one business day. Please normally allow at least 72 hours’ notice. Your appointment is confirmed only after we agree availability, scope, final price and any required payment, and send confirmation.
How do I get a quote for a tailored cleaning service?
Select Get a Quote to open our full enquiry form. Tell us your service, postcode, property or premises details, priorities and preferred date, and upload the requested photos. We review the condition and requirements, then send a written quote or ask for any missing information. Deep, move-in, end-of-tenancy, post-construction, decluttering and commercial cleaning are assessed individually; the domestic hourly starting price is not a fixed price for these services.
Why do you request photographs?
Recent photographs help us understand the condition, surfaces, access, priorities and likely time before quoting. Tailored services normally require clear photographs of the areas to be cleaned. If we need additional images before preparing a reliable quote, we will contact you. Photographs are handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
How and when do I pay?
Your written quote or booking confirmation explains the payment required and due date. HomeGlow may request a deposit for one-off or tailored work; where required, the usual guide is 25% of the quoted value or £50 minimum. The remaining balance for one-off domestic, deep, end-of-tenancy and declutter services is normally due no later than 24 hours before the appointment unless agreed otherwise. Regular clients may be offered different agreed terms.
Preparing for your clean
Products, access and practical details
Do you bring cleaning products and equipment?
For domestic bookings, you can provide suitable general cleaning products or ask HomeGlow to bring general products for an additional £10. Unless we agree otherwise, please provide a safe working vacuum, mop and suitable cloths at the property. Specialist chemicals, machinery or equipment must be discussed in advance. Tailored quotes confirm any product or equipment charges separately.
What should I do before the cleaner arrives?
Please provide safe access, running water and electricity, identify delicate or damaged surfaces, secure valuables and share any essential parking, pet or access information. Clearing excessive washing-up and loose clutter helps us use the appointment time on the agreed cleaning priorities.
How will the cleaner access my property?
You can be present, arrange concierge access, use a secure key safe or agree another suitable method. Include the general arrangement in your enquiry, but do not send alarm codes or sensitive access details until they are needed for a confirmed booking.
Can you clean when pets are present?
Yes, in many cases. Tell us about pets and any relevant behaviour, allergies or safety considerations. Pets should be kept safely away from active cleaning areas where necessary.
Trust and quality
How HomeGlow protects your standard
How are HomeGlow cleaners selected?
All HomeGlow cleaners are self-employed cleaning professionals. We complete right-to-work checks, review references and examples of previous work, and use trial cleans to assess whether their work meets HomeGlow standards. We select cleaners with demonstrable experience or a strong ability to learn, follow HomeGlow directions and produce a consistent finish.
Are HomeGlow cleaners insured and vetted?
Yes. Cleaners are vetted through the checks described above and work under HomeGlow’s insured service arrangements. HomeGlow Cleaning Services holds public liability insurance up to £5 million together with employers’ liability insurance.
How do you monitor cleaning quality?
Each cleaner receives a checklist and job notes containing the customer’s priorities. Quality controls can include before-and-after photographs of agreed areas, customer feedback, spot checks, follow-up calls and correction visits where the agreed HomeGlow standard has not been met.
What is the HomeGlow effect?
It is our calm, repeatable approach to leaving agreed areas cleaner, safer and better presented without rushing or risking avoidable damage. Every clean should feel careful and familiar, whether completed by one cleaner or a team, and finishes with a deliberate five-point check.
Will I always have the same cleaner?
We aim to provide continuity for weekly customers where possible, but cannot guarantee the same person for every visit. Leave, availability or the requirements of a particular job may mean assigning another HomeGlow-approved cleaner.
Changes and concerns
If plans change or something needs attention
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, or access is unavailable at the agreed time, HomeGlow may retain the deposit. Any decision to waive, transfer or retain it is considered fairly and confirmed to you.
What if I have a concern after the clean?
Contact us as soon as possible and, where practical, within 48 hours. Include photographs and a clear description so we can review the agreed scope, cleaner’s notes and available evidence. Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate outcome may include a correction clean, repair, compensation, insurance route or a clear written explanation.
Does End of Tenancy Cleaning guarantee my deposit back?
No. We clean to the agreed written scope, but cannot control a landlord’s or agent’s decision. Permanent wear, damage, staining, mould, pests and maintenance problems cannot be guaranteed away unless a specific written guarantee is expressly included.
Do you work with businesses, charities and property professionals?
Yes. HomeGlow has worked with businesses, charities, cleaning agencies, estate agents, Airbnb hosts and property managers. We can discuss regular workplace cleaning, property handovers, short-let resets and agreed one-off support cleans. For charity referrals, we confirm the client’s consent, access, priorities and a suitable scope. Work is assessed individually; specialist services and extras are agreed in writing.
Can you help with Airbnb and short-let cleaning?
We can assess cleaning and property resets for Airbnb hosts and short-let managers, subject to location, access and availability. Share the property size, checkout and next-arrival times, required tasks and photos. Linen, laundry, restocking and same-day turnaround requirements must be agreed separately; they are not automatically included.
Which areas do you cover?
HomeGlow serves London and surrounding areas. Our main service areas are Waltham Forest, Haringey, Enfield, Islington, the City of London, Southwark and Croydon. Availability is confirmed after we review your postcode, preferred date and requirements.
